Yeah turns out I didn’t really like easy the first time cuz I heard it through my iPhone speakers. Which yeah duh, but on headphones the bass really hits and I’m enjoying this nice lil r&b banger E: the smart song is basically like they took the last 3 big Afro beats songs (calm down, water, and woman by Doja cat) and just did that.

I liked the bibi release when i heard it, and the video is about as crazy as I expected. The tri.be release is.. okay. My main issue is that it the verse and chorus have a very level amount of energy, and it doesn't sit hard enough into the groove beat thing to really nail that either. The first half of the mv being all shots of the same set doesn't help, though the second half it mixes it up a bunch so while they clearly cut some corners there I think they could have spaced it out better so it felt less obvious. Wheein release is decent, not my favorite but it could be a good live track and be a nice mid-concert flow break. This UI release is pretty great, and I was not expecting dpr ian to be in it lol.

   That was really nice to see, and someone drew this great picture from the moment when they were talking about her and all crying on stage haha. That show looked insane, arguably even bigger production than Twice's tour. Sad that we won't get that at a lot of the venues here in the states because they're smaller theater shows and not all arenas. Hope they at least have the band at all shows. People say it about their popularity in Korea because they aren’t topping the charts every time like the used to. They’re still monstrously popular and beloved though. There are Korean fans that have dropped them because of the more global focus making them feel left behind. Just last week Sana and Jihyo apologized for doing the first week of promotions in the US because of fans complaining. Just dramatic people.

i figured out how to slurp a feed of all the actual song and music video posts from r/kpop into my rss reader and it's actually really great, haha. no more filtering through 1,702 posts a day about teasers and variety shows (Nothing against it but i dont really immerse myself in the Culture, i'm just here for the tunes. also my understanding of Korean is like five words)
