I first really didn't like it and thought it was all over the place. But I've been warming up to the song now. Kinda feels like Yeji took a bit of a backstep kinda vocally

I know and like (G)I-DLE, which obviously scratches an itch due to the shared artists between both projects, but was looking for stuff beyond them. Anything with an EDM influence and a giant, catchy chorus. I got you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8YXut6_56c no rap tho on this one

Lovesick Girls sounds like an early 2000s edm song, and it makes sense cause after looking at the credits, David Guetta is all over the song.

Thom and the Heads posted:Got into Weeekly over the weekend - been really impressed by their first two minis. Tag Me is a super strong debut I was pretty into Tag Me even though it appears to be taking parts from a different song the producers had made. But it was solid as hell, the first mini was enjoyable too. The second mini, not really vibing with it. I guess I really was into the pop punk vibes of tag me and it’s just missing on the second mini’s songs imo

Once Mina opened up with what was happening behind the scenes in some very graphic posts (with pictures of her slit wrists too boot), Jimin actually had the audacity to say that it was all "fiction" This led to even Youkyungthe former AOA drummer to open up about her issues with AOA and the management company FNC as well. Then you can even look into their past like when Chanmi ran away from the group and a lot of things start to make sense.

If twice goes solo careers, that’s gonna be a rip to them a la girls generation. Maybe 1-2 good solos out of it imo

esperterra posted:JYPE seems to have been trying their best to avoid another Suzy situation when it comes to Twice and only ever pushes them as a group, though this late in their career I would like to see the girls start doing their own things as well. You may count it as a RIP (which if it were a RIP, SNSD would have stopped promoting as a group years before they actually did decide to take a break-- most of them had busy as gently caress solo work even during the group's heyday), but the fact that all nine members of SNSD are still very relevant and happily doing what they want into their thirties is a fate not many idols get, especially female ones. It would be nice to see Twice start establishing careers outside the group so they can be as lucky. Yeah I should revise what I mean as a RIP. I guess musically. Out of all the SNSD members, the ones who have put out stuff that was good are just Taeyeon and Hyoyeon. I was into the first solo efforts from Tiffany and Seoulhyun, but post SM I think Tiffany just released very subpar-mid material. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

Scylo posted:All the chart stuff just seems like the benefit of releasing early in the year before other big groups are releasing, perfect time for a group that's getting more popular and people wanting new stuff to listen to. It's a much better time to release music than for eg: Loona releasing during Blackpink promotions last year and then crossing over into the Twice comeback I'm just too old to follow the LOONA stuff since they have so many sub units and stuff that its hard to keep track and I'm already keeping track of so much other stuff. If the music is good I'll get to it eventually or someone will let me know
