I mentioned it very recently when talking about the THPS1+2 remake, but the absolute peak of "comfy" graphics for me are late era PS2 / early 360 style graphics. Obviously there's nostalgia there but I still think it's true. Anything more detailed than that and stuff just looks busy and distracting.
