Steambot still has major breaking issues in pcsx2 upstream (the desert being entirely black for one thing) iirc so given that aether/nether is an old build at this point probably not There's the PSP battle tournament game that eschews a lot of the uniqueness of the game though! Or uh.. connie what happened

I have something similar for my switch, $17 not sure the dimensions of your Device https://a.co/d/5CCfrXm I ended up cutting a tiny rectangle in the lid so I put it in upside down and leave it charging in the case, ready to go. In like 6 years the hole hasn't torn or grown larger, and it sees a lot of travel Mine is Velcro, but otherwise this looks identical. I have a couple laptop sleeves that are even older and the material holds up really well, doesn't trap sand or grit Hadlock fucked around with this message at 17:54 on Apr 12, 2024 |

I’ve just tested it with the 2 and while you can just fit it in, it’s a real squeeze and it’s pushing down the sticks the whole time. Also very open at the corners when you’ve looped it shut.

Got my RG35XX-H. Loading it up now. I'm curious to see how genesis and N64 stuff does on it, but I played a bit of PS1 stuff and it all ran perfect. I really like the form factor. It's smaller than my phone.

I got the RG35XX-H set up, and I put batocera lite on it, which is still in the pretty early stages so there may be some performance improvements down the line, but in very initial testing it's pretty good. I know they said they are supposed to be switching to a 64 bit version and maybe implementing more performance out of the GPU on the next version whenever that is out. I am using the v40 beta version from here: https://github.com/rg35xx-cfw/rg35xx-cfw.github.io/releases/tag/rg35xx_plus_h_batocera_20240306. Got all the art / videos / retroachievements set up and it's pretty snappy on the UI. All the 8/16-bit stuff and PS1 work perfectly (which was expected). PS1 seems to work on both the rearmed core and stand alone Duckstation at full speed. I didn't try upping the resolution or anything because honestly on a 3.5" screen everything looks fine on the defaults. I was pretty impressed with the dreamcast performance on the libretro flycast core and I played some Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi, Skies of Arcadia, and Jet Grind Radio without major issues. There were a couple texture issues here and there but everything seemed playable. I think this core might be autoskipping frames, but it wasn't noticeable / sound worked well. The standalone Flycast won't run close to full speed though. N64 seemed a bit more dicey. I was able to get full speed using the Mupen64plus rice core on pretty much everything I tried, but there are some games where the lighting / textures don't look good at all. So you may have to screw with configs on a game by game basis. Banjo Kazooie worked pretty great though. N64 emulation in general is just fairly lovely compared to the other systems of the time period. I don't know if more powerful handhelds like the RP4 can run a core that everything just works and looks good on or not? Nintendo DS ran well but it's a lovely experience on a small low res 4:3 screen unless you only need 1 screen so I won't play anything from the DS on it, and PSP runs like trash pretty much regardless of settings on most games. So yeah, Russ's video was pretty much spot on and I got more or less exactly what I was expecting. The build quality feels significantly better than my Miyoo Mini Plus and I'm pretty happy with it for the $55 I paid for it. It's really tiny and will probably be my go to "on the go" device at least until they come out with the clamshell version in like a month or whatever. *edit* I was just going to add that it does work with chd files for PS1 and Dreamcast games so I didn't have to mess with converting stuff to .bin/.cue and the PS1 supports playlists for multi disk games as well. flavor.flv posted:The latest custom firmware for the RG nano / funkey s comes with the greatest game selection UI I have ever seen If you have access to a PCVR headset, this is pretty cool. You can put videos in a folder and they show up as VHS tapes. Your game labels get applied as the cart/CD labels. It isn't very quick though because you have to connect the VCR and consoles to whichever CRT you choose. You can get mad at red arremer, turn off the system, and chuck the cart across the room. I grabbed a bunch of posters and ads from old game mags on archive and put em up on the walls, too.

TadBradley posted:You got screenshots of your space? Sounds cool as hell I had a pretty cool video that actually showcased it in VR, but I just deleted it last week. Luckily, I was wrong and you do not need a PCVR headset connected. It's Unity, so there's a desktop app if you can suffer autocad-esque controls. I deleted most of my custom textures, too. Customization options: Carts - 3D-rendered cartridges that show up in the menu you use to spawn the games Labels - CD and cartridge labels (these were a pain to setup, but I also did it two years ago and it seems there are entire label set links in the EmuVR wiki, sorted by system and region) Posters - 31 different locations available, but only 4 of them are side-by-side for hot two-page poster action Bed sheets and pillows Ceiling textures, including one with the glow-in-the-dark green stars Floor texture, including the cheap bowling alley/arcade carpet TV - 70s, 80s, 90s or Sony PVM Admittedly, I haven't bothered checking to see what has been added in over two years. I configured everything in February 2022 so there may have been quite a bit more added since then. vvvv: it's also the purest way, save for maybe time travel, to experience the PLAYSTATION UNDERGROUND. Virtually eating cheetos paws while watching videos of Stewart Copeland making Spyro's music or a long PSA on how game piracy is ruining the industry, mere years away from having your PS2 memory card wiped for having the gall to play the Viewtiful Joe demo Bloodplay it again fucked around with this message at 06:55 on Apr 14, 2024 |

EmuVR is mostly useful to me for being the best way to emulate lightgun games and by that I mean PS1 lightgun games because I think it's only that and Saturn emulators that support it. Still it's always there for Time Crisis at least.
