The RP2 looks to be a real winner at $90 shipped.

The 350M is a pretty significant price jump IMO.

Yeah I get that I really just think it should be closer too $100 IMO.

I have the 350 and it’s a fantastic device I just think at this point the 350M is a tad over priced.

TBH you can’t go wrong with either though.

The Moqi i7s (which is between a midrange and high end phone with built in controls) can do Gamecube well

PS3 and some PS2 games still require a full on PC, so only high end portable PC handhelds with the latest Ryzen 4xxx or 11th gen Intel can handle them, and even then not every game because the architecture is difficult to emulate and emulators are not mature

Yeah my GPD win max can do PS2/GameCube and some ps3 but it was also $800.

The new GPD win 3 can probably do PS3 at this point though because the win max was super close on a lot of games.

Also the vita can run Android games now like GTA 3 and stuff. AFAIK they’ve busted open the OpenGL on it and are doing some cool stuff.

I'm quite tempted to buy one of these just to replay those games, but they're notoriously hard to emulate. If anyone's played it, can you tell me A) how it performs and whether or not it stutters in battle scenes and B) whether or not any of the emulators will run it without displaying the odd sprite layering glitches that you can see in the sunlight on the title screen or in Mercury Lighthouse.

AFAIK it should be spot on.

Oooh, that does look good!

Ughhhhh I just can't decide on a handheld. 351v is so tempting, but I'm just not sold on the form factor (I DEFINITELY refuse to buy 351, with a 320p screen). My hands are pretty average sized, and I don't have trouble with the o.g. Gameboy or even really with a GBC (the 351v seems to be between those 2 in size?) but the shoulder buttons are worrying... Maybe I should just wait until the next sexy horizontal layout :)

There is also this option which is much easier vs the Pi

I think these are all the retro handhelds I have.

The big one is a GPD something ( I can’t remember)

The white one is a GBA clone (it has a GBA slot on the bottom).

The RG350 works great.

The retro mini doesn’t work so great but it wasn’t expensive.

The GPD 3DS clone works ok I just need to change the firmware around because the stock stuff sucks.

Edit: it’s a GPD XD

quote:

The GPD XD contains a Rockchip RK3288 SoC, which consists of an ARM Cortex-A17 clocked at 1.4 GHz, paired with the Mali-T764, which is clocked at 600 MHz. This allows the XD to be used for native 3D accelerated Android games as well as emulation, which is the device's main selling point. The device's power allows it to emulate systems up to the Sega Dreamcast and Nintendo DS, albeit with varying levels of quality. The system also has 2 GB of DDR3-SDRAM and a 720p display.[5]

So maybe a little les powerful vs the 351? It’s hard to say.
