I think more and more these days that i need an HDMI output for any of these devices specifically because of that. Some games just suck on a small screen but if I'm out camping it could be cool to blast it onto the side of a camper or something.

The biggest drawback I can see is that the vmu is fully integrated into the unit. Seems like it's gonna limit what you can play without having to constantly delete saves.

It looks like the RG 280V that has a super famicom colorway. I know because I have one along with some other RG variant handheld (also vertical but bigger) and I never use either of them.

I guess I was never sure where to find the newest builds for stuff and then it seemed like newer devices came out so those models just didn't get support anymore.

Maybe I'll donate them to the Little Free Library.

I'm sure many people realize this at some point but I find that I'm using my two Anbernic devices a lot more now that I've moved away from putting entire HTGDB packs onto them.

The idea of having a device that has every NES, GB, SNES, Genesis, etc. game on it is fine in theory.

But in practice what I need is a device that just plays Kirby's Pinball and Shining Force II.

Just got my RP3+ today and it's definitely the best emulation handheld I've purchased so far both in build quality and overall software polish.

e: Got an SD card question. I formatted mine to fat32 with guiformat but then it won't let me put GTA:SA on it because the file is too large. Should/Can I use a different file system than fat32?

e2: Nevermind, converting it to CHD seems to be the solution.

The RP3+ is the first one I've bought where I didn't immediately try to swap the firmware for something else. It works pretty well.

I like my Xbox Hori fighting commander but I've found that it doesn't work in all use cases.

Like if I plug it into a WingmanSD and plug that into my Saturn it makes my console do weird poo poo.

I'm trying to set up my RP3+ for a work trip and for some reason I cannot get SNES roms to launch (every other platform works fine).

The launcher tells me "No core found" but no matter if i choose manual or auto setup, it just kicks me over to RetroArch and nothing I press or click in that interface moves me forward. If I manually choose the SNES9X core ... nothing happens. If I go back to the launcher and try to launch a game, it tells me there's no core.

I've tried removing the system and re-adding it but the issue persists. What gives?
