Probably should take me off the CLP list (for Stroud) since I Dramatically Quit the Labour Party a few months back.

Also there was a month or two where nobody was viewing/buying houses and that's since been released so we're getting extra business done now. It's loving dumb as poo poo though.

My tried and tested hangover cure is staying in bed until about 6pm by which time you're probably ok. Drink some flat coke to maintain hydration. (Open a bottle the night before) Could never stomach a big fry-up on a hungover gut.

CancerCakes posted:Starmer and labour frantically triangulating to fight against Boris at the next election, just to be swept by Rishi Sunak who has a better haircut is pretty much unavoidable. Absolutely. Boris was strong against Corbyn because Brexit and associated tub-thumping patriotism were his biggest weaknesses in the eyes of key voters (alongside media representation which BozzaLegernd was always going to win at) Starmer, for all his faults, provides a challenge that Johnson isn't at all well-equipped to deal with, so it makes all the sense in the world for the Tories to swap out their 'mon to have an advantage again. It's only a question of who and when.

Tarnop posted:None of which is what you said in your original post The least bad Brexit position for Labour was probably the initial one where they accepted the result and pressured the Tories to do it in a way that wasn't utter poo poo. Democratic result, regardless of whether or not we particularly like it, trying to reverse it sets a dangerous precedent, etc. Labour Remainers weren't going to leave the party in serious numbers because leftism is more of a draw than Brexit for the majority of them, and nobody else came close to Labour's other policies for the stereotypical young urban Remain crowd. Leavers were always more volatile.
