Biggest take away for me from the debate is that Biden is a bad candidate, advancing the same dumb ideas of the old guard that laid the ground for Trump in the first place, but I'm still voting for the idiot even in my deep blue state because the only thing that will give Trump and the GOP pause about going full fash on election night is a total blowout. The more immediate and unambiguous Biden's victory, the less room they'll have to go through with shenanigans. Joe winning gives the country time to maybe miraculously work through this poo poo, for the left to organize further politically, and, yes, for the left to achieve parity in arms with the fash militias if poo poo keeps spiraling into a nightmare scenario.

My second biggest concern after a Trump reelection is Biden winning, doing an immediate reach cross the aisle we can only bipartisan out of this and the DNC turning all efforts on eliminating progressives from the party and teeing up a President Cotton type

Donald Trump with a second term in which he has nothing to lose and a feeling of invincibility because took on the Impeachment HOAX and the FRAUDULENT election and still came out on top is one of the most horrifying prospects I can remember. That alone should be enough for people to vote for Biden, but then you have the motherfucker openly opining about a third term and I could totally hear Mitch "Foghorn Leghorn" McConnell going "Ah say, maybe we should consider abolishing term limits" and Lindsey (assuming he wins) falling right in line.

Trump is a buffoon but the media dangerously underestimated how well his simple platitudes, aggrandizement and narcissism would play with the angriest, most well-armed and fanatical parts of the electorate. It’s so easy for the media and liberal elite to laugh at him and treat him as a joke because of his innate lack of intelligence or humility while also refusing to recognize that the man’s success late in life was based on him marketing himself as such. This isn’t me saying that we should have had more empathy for Trump voters, but rather, that the media was wrong to treat him as anything but the aspiring fascist that he is. We had one FFL- whose office was in the basement of DC’s Metropolitan Police Department because zoning laws prevented him from operating anywhere else in DC- but he quit earlier this year. There’s a subsection in DC’s gun laws saying the city can act as a FFL so now the MPD does it. They kept up the old FFL’s pricing scheme of $125 a transfer, too.

I haven't yammered on about polling very much, but the bottom line to where things are right now is that Texas, Georgia, and South Carolina are currently closer than Pennsylvania. https://twitter.com/Nate_Cohn/status/1311365390510043137?s=19 I wouldn't pay attention to that Biden number, but SC is now absolutely a toss-up for the Senate. Q isn't the only one with the Graham race essentially tied - three straight polls have Graham/Harrison deadlocked. I'm starting to believe. Yeah, pretty much this. The Biden campaign's platform on guns is the same disappointing Democratic bullshit. A new AWB, a new mag ban, banning all online sales. If the Democrat wins a Senate majority in November they're probably going to waste time and capital on this.

Then right after, he would mildly gently caress up, then Donnie would bail him out again by interrupting the gently caress up in progress. Grip it and rip it posted:65+% of Americans want stricter gun control laws, too. I don't think addressing those desires really amounts to wasted political capital. There's "stricter gun control" and "making people who own ARs pay $200 to be allowed to keep them." There's universal background checks, and then there's banning all online sales. And there's probably an argument to be made that many of the people who want stricter gun control don't know what laws currently exist and just think you can buy a 249 at a gunshow.
