Now with less breakage.

I sometimes wonder what happened to the guy whose wife had severe comatose brain damage. IIRC she had some minor surgery but ruptured a blood vessel when alone in her car, and by the time she was found and brought to hospital she was very borderline dead from oxygen deprivation. He spent the thread digging deep into therapy and medication and trying to get opinions from qualified specialists on if there was improvement or if he was just deluding himself. It ended sort of suddenly when he mentioned that one of the treatments was some approved-in-europe grey-imported drug that he'd found referenced in a few papers, and a couple of people came down on him hard for it.

Not especially cheerful reading, but I'd love some sort of "X years later".

https://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3765351&pagenumber=1&perpage=40 - I still had it bookmarked.

He's still active, but I'm not sure how to tactfully raise "so, any news about your semi-dead wife?".
