Hell, Whisper explicitly states exactly this right near the start of the game. "We are not the police. You see someone committing a crime, call the cops." The exception being dangerous alien technology, which is their job to reclaim.

Claymore is all about explosives. Has a shrapnel grenade, a sticky grenade, and some passives that make him better at using grenade items. Also carries a shotgun. Very chill and professional, gets along great with basically everybody. Also a foodie.

Worth noting, Claymore gets bonus uses of all grenade items. This includes the items that gives a squadmate a free turn. Only real downside is he's got poo poo for mobility. He also finds the stereotype of "Explosives expert is a reckless bomb-throwing maniac" to be hysterical and absolutely plays it up, though he is actually very, very cautious and professional.
