Great run by Thompson, beating an in-form Zverev twice in 5 months shows the first win wasn't a fluke. The slice and defensive lobs seemed to be working for him in that match. He also came back from 0-6, 1-4 in the previous match and then beat Ruud in the final for his first ATP title. Looking forward to seeing if he can maintain it. I also saw Leylah Fernandez is ranked 32, hopefully she can hold or improve that seed going into the next 2 slams and make it easier to put together some deep runs.

They should've called the goon bee handler Never not a reason to post the classics. Happy for Sinner trucking along, now comes the real hurdle. Which is soo strange to say because, as an Italian tennis follower, every game was cause for concern before Sinner. Vvvvvv Top players tend to not go for it and are relatively unexperienced. It's a bit of a chicken/egg situation but the level of play is just significantly lower in doubles ever since the best players stopped playing doubles in the 70s/80s

I'm relatively new to watching tennis, and have a soft spot for Medvedev and Sinner since they were in the first match I watched. However, I'm not even mad seeing Alcaraz pick them apart. Dude seems pretty cool and the crowd at Indian Wells seems to love him.
