whehhhh looks like I waited too late to get nitzer ebb/front 242 tickets in Gothenburg. I have a feeling by the time of my my next paycheck they’ll be gone.

I’m still incredibly pissed that Ministry nixed their European tour because, for once, they were coming to Stockholm.

I’m also awaiting Skinny Puppy’s EU tour dates which so help me, so help me if they don’t have one. I feel like that’s illegal. They can’t not. When are the dates. Announce the dates. Whenever the EU dates are not on screen, all the other characters should be asking, "where's the EU dates?"

I am not now and have never been a goth, but I remember a funny story from here. A goon was working at a hot topic, and there was a pile of goth teens on one of the couches right in front of the store. The manager walked out one day and asked them, “Why do you all look so sad? You’re in a pig pile with your best friends! Be happy!”

They called him a pedophile pervert. That’s kinda funny to me.

They used to be my favorite, but my tastes changed and I've seen them half a dozen times live.

They're ok, but not the best.

Still getting tickets though. This year is going to be just... exhausting....

I will be seeing them in Oslo. The tickets are a bit expensive, but if you're a Stockholm person and a diehard fan it might be worth the trip.

Wow you had a much different experience than I did.

I had one of the easiest times buying tickets in years getting 3 tickets to one of the Madison Square Garden shows. I popped in at 10:05, entered my presale code, it loaded for 30 seconds, grabbed seats, entered my code again and then checked out. Took me literally less than 5 mins and I've never had that happen before.

Sisters of Mercy did a presale, and I'm famously impatient, but didn't have a code. A friend of mine was hemming and hawwing about going, asking me about logistic stuff, and offhandedly dropped what the presale code was during the text conversation. An hour later, he decides he wants to go, and asks me if he needs to order me a ticket, and I was just like "I had my ticket order completed 30 seconds after you mentioned the code, dummy."

I can't imagine what a ticket lottery for an act as big as The Cure would be like, though. Must be hell for folks not in on presale setups.

Out of the three people who signed up for the Cure presale registration all at the same time, I'm the only one who even got a response back, and I was wait listed. An hour after the tickets went on sale for those that got codes, I got codes for both cities I picked. I looked at Chicago first, found 3 tix and then it said someone else bought them, then that was it. No more tix showing. I jumped over to the Minnesota show and picked 3 tix, paid, done. Went back to Chicago and could only find 2 tix, but they kept saying someone else bought them before I could pay. Eventually I made it to the checkout with 2 tix but then this spinning logo thing covered the screen with a 7 minute count down timer. I kept refreshing and I could almost click on the I AGREE TO PAY whatever then PAY .. But then I had to put in my CVV code for my card... I got one number in by the time the page refresh put the dumb spinning thing covering the page.. then the timer ran out. I signed out and tried to sign back in and it said I was a bot so gently caress you. I couldn't sign into the app on my phone either.. Same poo poo. An hour later I took wifi off my phone so it was on cellular only and the app let me in fine, and there was a shitload of tickets available for Chicago for some reason. Got some nice seats up close for too much money. Thats my story.

The other two people still haven't gotten any pre-sale codes yet. But they do have tickets now, so whatever.

Cure announced their US tour. It's a lotto system with Ticketmaster, so you'll need to sign up as a fan or whatever, pick the dates you want to see, then you'll get an email on March 14th with a code for each show you selected (or not) and you use this code on March 15th to buy your tickets. If they don't sell out, I believe the rest go to general public. Robert said he will not be selling tiered tickets, they'll be the same price. I have my doubts with TM in the mix, but we'll see.

If you haven't seen them yet, this is what I would consider a bucket list band to see. They play for about 2 hours and then have another hour of encore songs. Yes, they play up to 3 hour long shows, and they play those songs really really well! They all sound great, but they are getting old af, so don't put off seeing them. I've seen them like 6-7 times now, and I can remember almost all of them. They were all amazing.

Such a great band. Do not miss them if they come by touring, you will enjoy it immensely. They play really well, and Ronan Harris is a fantastic frontman and asks people if they're going to film, move off to the sides so the people behind aren't stuck looking at everyones phones. They listened. They kind of have a special place in my heart because they're so uplifting. It's rare to find something that sounds this good and is so positive in a world of chaos.

Confirmed: She Past Away go pretty drat hard. I set myself up in the front row which is rapidly becoming my favourite spot to watch shows. No one's crowding you and you've got somewhere to put down your drink.

Potential disadvantage: you gotta be prepared for the act. Once I went to see Carpenter Brut, and I emphatically was not.

I DJed my third goth show last night ^_^

Spike Hellis with Mother June, Ortrotasce and Afterworld. It was really like part goth/part weird analogue electric poo poo.

I made the goths listen to Death Grips and Lebanese drone, which filled me with joy. The goths seemed to be into it.

Spike Hellis is extremely loving good btw. I saw them three times in one weekend when they came to Florida with ADULT. and Kontravoid last year.
