This one's pizza status is complicated.

Less complicated, and the sentiment is nice, just strong food coloring looks gross.

Usually pizza doesn't have the scale issue that things like burgers have when they get too big, because you can just slice them into normal slices.

Pizza Hut found a way though.

This stunt is them making the world's biggest pizza, stealing the title away from a bunch of Italians who previously made the world's biggest pizza with gluten-free flour in Rome

Townsends Pizza.

It's a channel where normally they focus on the 18th century colonial and foods, and this is sort of a thought experiment in if you were time warped to George Washington to make a pizza for him, what would you do with the ingredients that were in use at the time and how close would you get.

At the end of the it, I think it's a would, but I do wanna put it in here.

Biggest difference is that English and American colonists aren't using tomatoes yet, so they use some kind of mushroom ketchup sauce.

And of course nutmeg, as was the style at the time. Nutmeg on everything.

I will have you know those last two inches are like a 7.5 inch pizza. They were cheated out of their cheese. :911:

Anything involving dough is prepared by weight though, which makes this entire thing extra confusing. They need to weigh the pizza to know where to cast the blame.

If they're sold by their listed diameter, then if they have been purposefully skimping on their advertised size, that's grounds for a lawsuit.

Subway had a class-action lawsuits over their footlongs not being a full foot long, and that got settled without a full ruling, but I feel like listing a specific diameter in inches is stronger footing for a lasuit. https://cei.org/news_releases/consumers-win-in-subway-footlong-settlement-as-plaintiffs-walk-away/

Neapolitan is a fancy pizza word, except pepperoni isn't supposed to be on classic neapolitan pizza, so just stick neo on it.

A little blackening can be fine, but that does seem a bit overbaked. I'd eat it, I ate worse this week, but not much to brag about.

There's been a fierce fight over deep pizza, I think it's a fool's game to try introducing tall pizza.

Just stick your weird fake crust into a pie plate instead so that it can actually contain that nonsense. Or into a casserole dish and then it's just a weird casserole like any other.

This is a cake on a bikewheel.

The problem with cauliflower or broccoli crust isn't just that it can't replicate everything great about a normal crust. It's that actually bread is just really great and your body on like a chemical level sure likes getting a big slab of carbohydrate to turn into energy, that's what it tells your brain to be hungry for. And it just won't be as satisfying.

To be fair, that tortilla-hashbrown thing isn't technically trying to be a pizza, the maker was trying to do something like a breakfast taco. He called it a "poeppleza", which only makes things more confusing.

Here's bad pizzas that will actually embed.

Well, I mean, this is the kind of hair-splitting that had people jumping down my throat in thr anti-Italian thread. Pasta is a variation on noodles, an Asian invention, but its specific ingredients and what it's often served with makes it its own thing, IMO. Schnitzel, or the idea of hammering meat really thin, dusting it with bread crumbs and frying it, is also originally a Levant invention, and there are many variations of it but... schnitzel is schnitzel. 'Fish & chips' as in a big slice of haddock dipped liberally in beer batter and served with tartar sauce and fries soaking in malt vinegar... would you not say the dish is English? The wiki does, if that means anything, right in the first paragraph.

I'm just saying maybe we can let the English have that one thing since the rest of their 'cuisine' is depraved.

Most of the best foods come from multicultural places where immigrants use what they know to engineer the best food they can with what ingredients that they have available to them. I think some of the worst foods also come from insular groups who resisted outside influence and tried to maintain their own food purity (which I think allows for weird acquired tastes to get even weirder).

Pepperoni was invented by italian immigrants in America.
