i was thinking more of a "anyone can use" like the summer snails sig. when i have more time tonight or tomorrow i want to add more silhouettes of posters avs to the group on the left and then add the text, though if anyone far more skilled then me wants to take this and run with it that would be awesome

and i hope chewbecca doesn't mind the dark turn her spoonville thread has taken

and yeah that's the problem I've always faced with videos as sigs

one way to handle it, which messes with the resolution unfortumately, is to upload it to gfycat and find the link of theirs which displays it as a gif, then to display the image you use IMG tags and make sure the url has the "gif" extension. they give you two resolutions, but unfortunately video quality goes down a bit.

this is what that looks like:

finding the GIF links is a little tricky, you click "more share options" (the paper plane) then you will see a button that says "GIFS". you will see options for "Small GIF" and "Large GIF".

luckily blender kicks out each frame as a separate image so dragging those into GIMP and monkeying it is right up my alley for this kind of stuff but this is also a neat trick if I didn't have the frames!

there is also an addon called "bligify" which can spit out a gif right from blender (from the video sequence editor).
