Another option to look at if you haven’t already are the brawler carbs. I have a edelbrock setup in my truck that I think I got for free from someone and it runs just fine.

It is insane to me that anyone would pay any amount of money for a quadrajet rebuilt or otherwise. There are like ten thousand aftermarket carbs that way better and are mostly totally fine out of the box.

I mean I got a edelbrock carb and manifold from a friend and I put it on the 307 in the truck with 0 tuning and it runs totally fine. **Edit** I should mention I got it for free and I never touched the carb, I didn't even open it up and clean it.
