Rayo is a cool team - like others have said, it's historically a left-wing team, and they're a proper neighborhood team. They do have one of the smallest budgets in La Liga and are a bit of yo-yo club, but they're going to finish squarely in mid-table and they made the semis of the Copa, so it's been quite a successful year for them. I'll do a proper La Liga thread next season! ESPN+ has made it so much more accessible to fans here - my parents live in Spain and it's very expensive to watch over there, since the rights are held by a telecom and the only way to get the channels is to use their internet service.

I'm surprised that ESPN hasn't aired more La Liga matches - there was a Barca-Rayo snoozer on ABC and then I think a couple on ESPN Deportes, with everything else on ESPN+. You'd think that they would air at least one match per week on cable to entice viewers...
