 After reading here and here. I made the above super low effort map. I'm unsure exactly where the crossing near Vardenis was so I'm assuming somewhere south of the road. Sev Lake was mentioned in relation to Sisian and I've circled that. The border runs right through it. Azerbaijani forces have reportedly partially withdrawn. There's been no exchange of fire so far. Armenia has invoked CSTO's article two. Which is for launching joint consultations to align and coordinate the members response to threats. The CSTO issued this statement, “The CSTO closely follows the developments in the border regions of Syunik province, and if necessary, actions will be taken in accordance with the Collective Security Treaty and the CSTO Charter.”

This type of stuff happens fairly often in central asia, so maybe it is just a similar salami tactics test. I don't think itlll necessarily lead to a renewed conflict, and daddy russia can pervent a real fight from ever starting.
