The Tea Party benefitted from oligarchs funding a massively coordinated effort, and the Republican party structure actually honoring straight-up popular votes in their primaries. It's a major reason why Democrats have doubled and tripled down on byzantine vote-obfuscating mechanisms straight out of the Boss Tweed era. There will be no "leftist Tea Party" and you cannot simply vote your way out of the elimination of the means by which your vote has any significance.
