I think the original TV series was one of the first subbed anime I watched, so I'm really excited for this remake. The original OP firing up at the end had me grinning like an idiot.

I personally didn't mind the stinger as I'm not a newcomer, but I can see how that might ruin it a bit for people who somehow haven't already experienced the story in some format.

I've heard some people saying that the horned silhouette in the OP could be spoilers Featherine spoilers

Agreed, I watch the OP every week just for the piano scare chords at the end :spooky:

I'll be honest, the slog up until now has been worth it.

At least we didn't have to deal with any fingernail gore this time around. :gonk:

Kinda chilling how Satoko's experience with getting pressured into enrolling at a stuffy, rigidly structured grammar school and failing to adapt resonates with my own. :smith:

At least it didn't turn me into a murderous time-looping psychopath?

Come to think of it, Satoko's loops did start in 1984... :tinfoil:

Forgive me if this has been answered in the previous thread but what happens to the survivors in the failed loops? Are there thousands of cursed timelines left running their course or do they get erased with each reset?

Multiverse theory really is a bitch, huh?

Rena's voice actress in the anime is from the Kansai region, so that's probably the reason why. There's no real reason for it in-universe since she's only ever lived in Hinamizawa, or just north of Tokyo.

I definitely agree that it's cool to hear the change when she drops the cutesy act.

Can't wait to see what kind of shenanigans take place while Keiichi's locked up.

As soon as I saw the frying pan I knew something awful was about to happen.

The violence has been so over the top in the last few episodes that I'm beginning to wonder if I'm actually watching Happy Tree Friends :v:

Episode started out great and then became so dumb that it wrapped around to amazing. I'm hoping we get some actual payoff next episode, though.
