I keep on wondering how a work can so much drama... then I look at the poo poo I post in AI Slack and think yeaaaaaah now I know.

And when you are a Sys_admin and you have to check logs and network reports you do get to see a lot of things esp in a huge company.

Like someone searching for cum tributes.

That tends to result in the inner BOFH awakening and putting in a network redirect to hint "Hey, dont do this...."

Yeesh. Users.

I'm not a computer fondler professionally but I hang out with the tech and network guys at work a lot. My favorite story was when one of them found a meticulously organized folder full of high quality videos of women burping on a dudes workstation. Another lady has had to have her system reimaged three times due to pornsite malware.

They're both in the same department filled with unassuming older librarians lol.

It is nice knowing that they don't give a poo poo what I do online though as long as it's not crashing the network. I browse the forums and stream sports with impunity now.

I believe I’m supposed to laugh at the idea of needing a license

... but that actually makes a ton of sense, my state already does it, and I would vote for it federally

CA doesn't require a license to own guns unless you're referring to the Firearm Safety Certificate needed for purchasing, which is essentially 30 bullshit questions along the lines of

code:
Is it legal to carry a loaded handgun in your vehicle and fire it out the window if u are in a bad mood?
[ ] Yes
[ ] No
[ ] bazookas can be legally used for hunting small game

code:
If sharing a residence with children under the age of 18, you must store your firearm:
[ ] In a safe or otherwise locked and secured
[ ] Loaded, in the refrigerator
[ ] on the coffee table with the TV remotes

It's not a license because you could completely legally own a gun your father gifted to you, or that you bought before the FSC requirements were law, or a bunch of other reasons. CA is a labyrinth of absolutely baffling firearms laws on the deeper levels but the gatekeeper test is hilariously inept. I say this as a strong proponent of owning paper-punchers.

anyway sorry, AI pic tax for talking about boring poo poo because I've been revisiting old fantasies about buying a chevy nova

That's what I had been guessing, looks like I'll be staining it this weekend. If it goes back to workbench duty that will help fight stains at least.

Get a gallon jug of deck stain+sealer combo in the color of your choice at home depot and put on a couple coats with a paint roller.
