to me it's just a nice way to dress up meh scotch. throw some ice cubes in a glass, pour some drambuie pour some cheap scotch and boom something nice to sip on for a half hour agreed it's sweet, but it mellows as it melts down

i once had a customer order a brandy alexander, then next a grasshopper, then next a white russian. the strange part is that it was a young woman and not an old man. my point is i'd rather drink all those and top it off with a pink squirrel than drink a rusty nail. i guess the real point is that insanely sweet drinks need dairy (golden cadillac? savoy snowball? checks out)
