I initially voted for the str burger but you guys have convinced me and strawpoll seems to be acting up so boarger. I don't think we're getting rid of disquiet THAT easily even with a critical success, it's probably either temporary or some kind or rerolling feat.

Yeah, the sense I'm getting is that some lord deaths are going to be unavoidable. I don't think we should go for a pure pacifist run, if a lord is a massive rear end in a top hat, I'm not going to feel bad about killing that one. And we've already seen Hunter who is really not giving us much of a choice.

From my experience, counters don't cancel out the damage done to you, but there is sometime a damage reduction to the person using the counter. So countering is probably more likely to kill Merkja than defending but not as much as just outright attacking.

I too want to see the shape of the parade. But basically all of the options for Deimos has potential, even the ignore him option. Saying hello to the werewolf doesn't seem like a great idea, however. He's itching for a fight and it might throw him off guard for a moment, but unless we can settle things in that moment, it's not gonna go well. The Inevitable check is risky, but would probably take him completely out of the fight. Mushroom Mind says he's only loyal to Kaigan because Kaigan can kill him. So showing him we're the bigger predator would make him back down.

For all those people wanting to come back to Kwiat, I think you're misunderstanding something. The options presented was either to go straight to Bleeder via tunnel, go to Bleeder overland, or say gently caress it and just explore the swamp. There's nothing saying anything about going home, and when we chose to go to the megalith, it seemed like we were locked in that choice. If that's true, then the quickest way to get back to Kwiat IS to deal with Bleeder ASAP. So it's probably a good thing we decided on that!
