They could've looked worse if we didn't suspect they were playing along. Years ago I saw an interview with SBC that discussed this. Basically a producer tells them that this Borat guy is from a country that's a bit backward so he might do some strange things, and to just roll with it. God bless that wonderful babysitter. And that teenage girl from the debutante ball that calls her dad a loving rear end in a top hat for eye-loving Tutar. And drat Maria Bakalova was incredible. Hope this is a breakout role for her.
