To be fair, I can see why you'd go with the F40. I probably would have if I hadn't completely blanked on it.

Too much love for a BTTF prop imo though.

In 1989 (there was no 88 maserati in the US), they actually started calling their models by the engine displacement and door configuration like Mercedes. ie. a 430 would be a sedan with a 3.0L engine, the 228 would be a 2.8L coupe.
They dropped the biturbo name completely for 89. The 89+ versions (and actually 87 with efi) fixed a lot of the issues. Stronger rear differentials, better electrical systems, synchros or whatever fixed in the transmission, run reliably, etc.
Even though mine is an 87, it's technically a 425i: sedan with a 2.5L engine that has fuel injection.

The Ghibli didn't come back until, iirc, 92 (at least in the US).

Those have 4 computers... Like the v6 biturbo, they use an ECU for fuel injection and an ignition computer for ignition timing. But the shamal is a V8 and has one set per bank.

I have fallen tremendously into mediocrity, I first thought "F40" for greatest Italian car, but it doesn't stir my loins the way a 250 GTO does. Truly the most beautiful car ever designed.

I can't believe after submitting my answers did the Delorean hit me with a heavy sense of revelation. I am glad to see I wasn't the only one to think of the McLaren F1. They have made incredible cars, but Gordon's machine is unbeatable when it comes to the McLaren moniker. Everything that has followed is chasing the F1's very long tail.

Yea, the interior is pretty nice. It's a little bit random, though. They use materials and styles that just don't match. Every piece on its own is fine, but they don't work together.
That said, the interior is a bit small for taller people. I can't drive with normal shoes on, I think it's designed for fine Italian driving shoes. The seats are a bit small for me, etc.
