Clock chat, I actually maintained a Cesium clock for a while. It was kind of cool knowing I had access to an "atomic clock". Too bad it only displayed a string of numbers... I always thought it should look cooler and have more dials to fit what it really was.

MazelTovCocktail posted:Also lol at bike people complaining. I don’t think they have to worry about bike lane issues...since they never use them in the first place. That issue is not restricted to Philly. I've had bikers scream "share the road" at me while in the middle of the left lane where I am.

Flying_Crab posted:For cyclists it is generally much more dangerous to ride in the parking lane or close to it, and the law in many (most?) places allows cyclists to use the full lane just like any motor vehicle. Weaving in and out or in the door zone is frequently deadly to cyclists, they're doing it for a reason. But on the other hand they should make an effort to let you pass when it's safe to do so. Ehhh... What you are talking about and what I am are two totally different things. First, I try to go out of my way to be nice to both bicyclists and motorcyclists. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I killed either. That being said... There is a difference between the road you are talking about and there being a shoulder, bike lane, right lane, left lane, AND a sidewalk. What would make you think the left lane is the correct choice? Around here people on bikes choose ANYTHING but the designated bike lane. Why do I have to dodge bikes when both driving AND on foot? The more racing gear someone has, the more likely they are going to be a dick. Don't even get me started on the packs of riders taking up an entire or multiple lanes of traffic on roads with a limit of 70. Yeah, super safe. Great way to "share the road".

I just hope they iron out the allergic reaction conditions before it rolls out to me. I'm in the same category as the people in the UK. I would rather get the vaccine over not, but also don't like not breathing.

CBJSprague24 posted:Related to that, Kanye West got a PPP loan. My last job got a PPP loan, then promptly closed the office in my town, layed off 90% of the people there, closed two offices overseas, and canned half of the people still working at the HQ in NYC. Man those PPP loans sure are helping us normal folk.

Mustang posted:I drive a Honda CR-V and I've been told its a mom car but whatever, gets good mileage, rarely has any maintenance issues and can fit a ton of poo poo inside of it considering its not a large SUV. I also wear a lot of flannels... See for everyone of us that drive a car that doesn't gargle gas like a porn star in a bukakke film, there are two that have a lifted Super Heavy Duty Truck that requires a rope ladder to enter.
