It was a small kind of thing for a time and the poster got a lot of attention and maybe that tripped some switches in their brain, about using mystery and the letter Q to gently caress around with people. Not to mention that 4chan, who Q has always been totally associated with, is a spinoff from this site. If you don't give a gently caress have you considered just not posting. The bachelor threads in general. They were always worth reading and I'm sure some of the famous goon stories like holepisser or whatever came from those threads, but the whole thing was just people doing depraved poo poo and posting about it on the internet for others to agree with. It always seemed like half the posters had terrible things to admit but they were gauging reactions, waiting on someone else to admit to something slightly worse before thinking to themselves "phew ok, i can say I also do this and i wont get laughed at that much". everyone was just constantly toeing the line

Two Worlds was mentioned here earlier; apparently a few years back (and long after he got perma'd) some goons invited him over to a get-together and posted a video of it on YouTube, I guess in an effort to shame him. It turns out he was the most sane person there. E: If I remember the context right, one guy was trying to fix him up with a girl there who was extremely goony, and he was having none of it.

ages ago (like 2006-2008 or so) a friend of mine’s roommate in college saw them browsing SA, signed up themselves, and posted a woe-is-me type screed about what an awful person they were and how they bought designer sunglasses and tons of other luxury stuff for hundreds/thousands of dollars. they had managed to rack up like 10k of credit card debt in a matter of weeks, and were possibly stealing money from their grandparents or something as well. they ended the OP of the thread begging for money and pretty instantly got banned I’ve always wanted to read it again because that person was such a fascinating train wreck and passed through our lives like a fart in the wind, but it’s tough trying to find it because it was active for so briefly that not many people saw it
