My Galaxy brain take for the evening: Rest of the league afraid to take Dickerson because his injury history precludes a long career. Bengals don't give a single gently caress, draft him anyways, cuz they'd almost certainly not give him a competitive second contract if he did perform well enough to generate interest.

Are there any starter-caliber DLs available in the draft for the Browns, or do we get to watch them give up 125 yards a game this season?

Christian Barmore, DT, Alabama Barmore has a lot of upside as an interior defender. He is an elite disrupter on the inside. His full skill set was on display when he dominated the Ohio State Buckeyes in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. Daviyon Nixon, DT, Iowa Nixon has arguably more upside than any player in the draft at the defensive tackle position. The track record of Iowa players who dominate in the trenches at the collegiate level helps make him a safe project pick.

Thanks! In that case, I'll tune in tonight with beers in hand. And I think everyone on Alabama dominated OSU in that game... Funny thing about that is I didn't care one bit since they got to take Clemson to the woodshed and make Trevor end his collegiate career with a pick.

We probably across 4-5 goons in this thread have a better mock/draft coverage org than the non-ESPN/NFL network guys. That's a big deal for me because I really respect your opinion and think you do more work with more in depth analysis than me. You could legitimately be a NFL scout.

We’re officially at the point where there’s some really good value at DT for now. Togiai, Tufele, Nixon are all guys I would’ve considered on day 2. Sort of ambivalent on the remaining interior guys. Trey Smith is good, but Deonte Brown got bodied by LBs at times with 100 pounds in his favor. Jackson, Van Lanen, and Kraemer could all be high end run blockers but play too heavy in their stance in pass pro. I really don’t see much value in the interior on that side. Still good WR depth, hate the remaining RBs. Lots of tweeners in the OLB/DE space. Shaun Wade has to be kicking himself for coming back right now. Thought someone would take a flyer on his as a slot/safety by now. Remaining safeties have some really solid thumper/box guys right now but not many true cover/center fielders—someone like LeCounte or the Indiana guy can have a 8-10 year career though if they’re paired with a true space guy. The corners remaining are weird too. Wildgoose and Wilson are interesting in that they’re decent cover guys who just mug everyone when poo poo gets hard which is a problem when it’s not just 15 yards. Israel Mukamu is interesting too—huge corner who is decently fast but can’t turn for poo poo. Could be a very very interesting piece in a Seahawks style press Cover 3 where he isn’t asked to turn much or a decent box Safety prospect if you work on his tackling a bit since he could carry a TE vertically. This whole class is going to look abnormal in a few years regardless. If you look at some of the dudes who rose and fell, it’s very very clear that the evaluation criteria in the absence of combine and film for a lot of guys led to some impaired inhibitions, but I won’t be shocked if we have some massive mid-round guys who turn into perennial pro bowlers just off of how hard it is to really evaluate this year. Could be like a pre-internet draft in spots.

I thought it was based on win over/under for a second. I don't gamble, but if the o/u for Cinci was equivalent to a #3 seed, say less than 5, I'd probably be too tempted.
