I like the part where the Bengals defense snatched the Steelers’ souls out of their bodies last night.

Very cool.

Yeah, ninth in the league in sacks and three forced fumbles, while still staying disciplined in his lanes. Bit like Howard, he's been consistently great without having a big wow week to make everyone notice (cough Haasan Reddick cough)

For we'll fight with a vim
that is dead sure to win.

Football Outsiders should make another proprietary stat to predict whether a player will be a Pro Bowl selection. Team wins is highly correlated but I can’t figure how to quantify the reputation factor. Maybe past selections and/or performance 1-4 seasons ago? I imagine there is also a boost for being on one of the NFL’s favored teams for marketing (Steelers, Patriots, Packers, Seahawks, etc.)?

Feast your eyes on the ideal AFC playoff picture. Main thing is that Houston needs to beat Tennessee for this to happen (along with Pittsburgh beating Cleveland)

Ravens get the Pittsburgh rematch as a five seed, and a great chance for Tennessee or Cleveland to win and have to take KC first.

lol beating the Bills in the playoffs again, sign me up

This isn’t optimal but i would enjoy seeing Browns vs KC or Bills. I think it could be a fun shootout game though the odds aren’t great.

What about the NFC side? Is Green Bay the heavy favorite?

It was always gonna be Joe Tua Herb. People can be revisionist now that Herb's had a crazy rookie year, but as a prospect he wasn't exceptional. If Joe has the season he had Tua being healthy would have made it a conversation, but Joe still woulda gone #1.

So... are you faking moral outrage to not read posts now or are did you replying to someone else and quoted me by mistake? I even mention Justin Fields so you could make the connection easier. You're arguing something Im not saying.

Trevor Lawrence is a better QB prospect than Joe Burrow, coming out.
Tua is a way better prospect than Fields.
Lawrence is several tiers about Fields.

If you missed out on Joe, Tua was there. Still had some risks due to the injury concern but as was previously mentioned, by the draft teams were pretty confident in Tua. If you missed Tua, you had the question marks - the physical talents that looked the part but didnt have the history.

So this year, if you miss out on Trevor (again, a better QB prospect than Tua or Burrow) is missed, you have... a bunch of huge question marks that could easily pan out (similar to Herbert) but nobody mentioned Herbert. Joe and Tua were a much better "pair" of top prospects, IMO, than Lawrence and Fields, even with Lawrence being the insane level of prospect that he is.

We're discussing their pro prospects. Obviously no one could have imagined that Herbert would look like an absolute all star, Tua would look good but not great, and Burrow would have the injury problems.

Bad, very bad!
WFT has the best feel good football story of the year going on but they're still...Washington.

Hell they have two really good stories with Rivera hopefully beating cancer! They've finally been dragged kicking and screaming into dropping the name. And they're still so despicable overall.

e: vvv--oops I was even looking at that thread earlier.
