If there is a potential audience, you betcha people are gonna try to put asses on seats to watch/read/hear/witness the thing. Since this proved popular enough as a Web Novel in (say it with me now!) Shosetsuka ni Narou's rankings to get its publishing rights bought and since the Light Novels are performing well enough to warrant a "Hey, let's try to promote 'em with an anime!".

Also apparently the author is doing another novel that also got greenlit for an anime that's happening over the summer?
