This government is loving dumb and the Liberal Party is loving evil. Does following all the actions and corruption and poo poo opinions and noticing they keep getting away with it break your brain? Absolutely. Does it drive you up the wall and make you spit venom in all directions? You bet. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut There is a line in the sand that you should be careful not to cross, it's a line that leads to Social Media Insanity where everything is bad and a conspiracy and everyone is an enemy and gently caress you and die you work for the enemy. The fact of the matter is that people will sell out all the time in order to gain more money and more power until they believe the horrible songs sung by the horrible machine. If you are joining this god awful chorus you are either a staffer or a journalist. Should we hate you for it, sure. But where there is evidence that the machine you worked for has used you, violated you and tried to cover its tracks you should be spared of political driven hate because it doesn't matter what logo this machine wears on its lapel pin, evil is evil and will always be evil regardless of which side of the political fence it sits. Over the years politics has become more like a football match with both sides weak to the call of the authoritarian strongman. Blind to his misdeeds because the other team is losing. All I ask of anyone who posts here or talks on Discord or elsewhere is to remember those that commit evil do not have teams and nor do their victims. A victim of any crime caused by persons of power does not need hate for they come from a state of fear. They do not need a team for they have been abandoned by those who should help. What they absolutely need is understanding from a human perspective, not a political one. And this, in the age of Men's Rights Extremists and Far Right Reactionaries who believe that the women's rights movement was a mistake is especially applicable to rape and sexual assault. Please maintain a human understanding in the future. Feel free to use this time off as a moment to calm down and re-approach the thread when you are ready. I do not wish to permanently exclude anyone immediately for this yet because it is so easy to hate the other team as we appear to have been culturally obliged to for many years of political online discussion in this place. Remember, if it's so easy to hate then as a collective political consciousness, it will become harder to heal.

Reminder that QUT is the University that has had the young liberals in power basically indefinitely because they get a gently caress load of funding and can throw rotten milk at or coward punch members of the opposition student parties during student council elections and basically get off scot free. Also QUT let the libs ban opposing political groups from running stalls during orientation week except for socialist alliance for some reason.
