Apparently the guys getting media coverage are actually much smaller fish in the hedge fund game than the ones really running the short squeeze. Ultimately this will all be borne by much smaller bagholders to funnel money into the gaping maw of funds like Vanguard

froglet posted:Dunno about lawyers, but if she can't bring it up through fair work, she might be able to take it up with the Human Rights Commission? You'd think being fired for being sexually assaulted would fall under it (especially if the other party was allowed to keep their job). It's called victimisation and is explicitly called out in the relevant acts (state based but generally uniform across the country)

I think what is clear here is that Albanese needs to pretend he's McGowan and look like he might punch Morrison in the face. Punching tories? I think you have the wrong man

I'm pretty sure it's a "thanks everyone, see if you play by the rules it can and will be 3days" They are banking on - lucking out and getting no more cases - even if they do get another case they will get compliance from another snap lockdown - they expect a lot of people to WFH if they can anyway for the near term

I'm quite aware of how above the average income our household is (even with the wife off work cos of baby) and we sure as poo poo couldn't afford a $2m property. It's absolute fantasy that average income people are buying that sort of property.

froglet posted:The Showgrounds vaccination centre was absolutely packed with a line going out the door, but they did a fantastic job of processing everyone. I arrived at about 2:10pm and was vaccinated a little over an hour later, which is really impressive given the sheer number of people there. I went there on sunday for mine and they were letting people in up to 30 mins early because there was absolutely no line. In and out in exactly 30mins with parking at the door
