Finally gotten around to playing something this year

1. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury

Missed this on Wii U, and this was some very high quality Mario. Bowser's Fury is way more than I was expecting, albeit the goals were getting a little repetitive. I'd really like for this to be developed more into a full game for the next Mario.

Very embarasses to correct myself that this is number 2.

I already forgot I beat Resident Evil 3 Remake earlier this year.

Fun game, little too platform focused for me, but I still enjoyed it a lot. 4/5

I played that last year, and I didn't expext those escape sequences to be so demanding. Not like, Celeste difficult, but definitely the hardest parts about the game.

the instafail stealth missions were surprisingly not as bullshit as many others from the era because if you destroy alarms it basically lets you go ham. also theres a really cool one late in the game where you have to find ways to sneak into buildings and kill nazi generals

I never figured that out, so I'm going to consider this a pro tip next time I play it.

1. Resident Evil 3 Remake

Both supremely good games, really in the mood to just play games all the time again now because of them.

Ending is absolute poo poo from my rear end and all the 2012 slow walking feels-game poo poo is AIDS but other than that this game rocks. Outstanding gunfeel.

I played through 1 and 2 right after they came out and never touched 3, so it was really fun to go through and play through all of them again end-to-end, and I think all of them hold up really well. I'm from Edmonton so it's kind of neat that such a big, influential series is from my home town.

Yeah, I've been playing 3 right now, and it's crazy to me how much of a step up it is. Lots of cool weapon variety too, really wish the MP was in this, because I never got the chance to play it and I'd like to put in more time with that.

wasnt part of the war points system supposed to tie in with the multiplayer, did they just make it easier in the new version

In the original release not doing the multiplayer made your war assets lose half their value, so to get a "good" ending it was pretty much required to do literally every side mission. Since Legendary Edition doesn't have the multiplayer, they removed that aspect, making it incredibly easy to get with just the Krogan and Quarians/Geth missions.
