After our chief engineer proposed some crazy repurposing of half the ship's vital systems to get us out of a sticky situation, even though it had a high likelihood of imploding the warp core and not only atomizing all of us, but also eradicating all life on a nearby planet, I said "Or, how about we do something that's not batshit insane?"

My comment was not met with general approval, and I still hold that the recklessness of the plan is not diminished by the fact that it somehow worked.
