I never got around to playing Reach because I was just getting out of college at the time, but it was an absolute joy to play when the Collection came out. Wish I could have gotten in on the hype back in the day.

I played Halo Reach for the first time last year and the spaceflight parts really blew me away, literally since I was playing on Legendary.

I love these little moments where a Halo protagonist has no real goal or guidance and just improvises to the sound of the guns.

Good thing the Halo Universe never got around to exploring the Slam Sector. Scrunts and Grunts would probably get along.

I actually remember liking Halo 4, but I admittedly only played it long after it came out and was expecting it to be worse than it was. There was a lot I didn't like about it, but it hit the right notes at the end. Might have just been feeling depressed and nostalgic and happened to catch it at the right time.

So, they're glassing the planet and yet they're still sending troops down for ground attacks?

I figured it might have been an "honor" thing, or a need to show proof of death for some reason. We kinda saw that in Halo 2 where the Elites were upset that their attempt to kill or capture Master Chief was called off in lieu of an orbital strike after Regret's death. Or they just assumed that an orbital strike on a Forerunner facility would be heresy and were surprised that the Prophets went that route.
