I was so insanely jazzed for Halo 3, and I played the everloving poo poo out of it when it came out. Without a doubt one of my favorite games of all time, it felt like the perfect bookend to the Bungie legacy starting with Marathon(which I also played the crap out of lol). The buddy movie coop with the Arbiter made it even better. WETA digital making an actual working Warthog out of a suv is so loving good, its like a proper offroad 4WD and everything. The marine freaking out was probably a Hudson from Aliens reference, it really reminds me of his freakouts a lot. The nightclub bit is something they did again in Destiny 2 Forsaken, it's one of the mini dungeons you do pretty early on.
