This is not the play. The play is every upset in the tournament every round. I know it was going around Twitter last year and I tested it last year. Betting ML underdogs throughout the tournament netted me a 30% ROI and over 20 units. I was just coming here to post this.

EDIT: I'm also committing my entire bankroll to it

Wait, so underdogs odds wise or seed? I went to bet Thursdays games and see that Michigan st is the favorite but Mississippi st is the 8 seed. What are we supposed to do here?

So I am looking at the odds for the tournament and now I'm wondering if Vegas shifted things this year. A lot of the moneyline odds are lower than they feel like they should be for the seeding discrepancy.

Still committing my entire roll, but with a lot more trepidation

Bets placed. I noticed Rivers had better odds than FanDuel. I also think waiting until the last minute adjusted some of those lines to be more favorable as the market moved them. All my bets are placed! LET'S loving GO!!!

I hated that they were a 9, but not the underdog and I hated that I was betting against them.

Only 27.50 for me, but I’m only betting $5 a game. Also, I can’t take JMU or Longwood tomorrow because of Virginia rules.

JERRY! HELLO!

I'm only up 15$ and change at 10$ a game. My odds must stink compared to you guys. Or I hosed up one or two of the "seeding is wonky so both teams have -1xx moneyline" games, of which I had a few yesterday.

Yeah, i dont know how you guys are up. I'm still technically down with half the slate to go. Unless you only bet Thursday games in which case you should be up. Way ahead of schedule though

Yeah, I'm up just for the Thursday games (got back a little over $100 on $80 in bets), and I put another $70 in for today. (Although I don't love my chances as much today as Virginia doesn't allow betting on games with Virginia teams, and I think JMU is one of the more likely upsets.)

Place your bets

Twenty Four posted:

Would a place actually let you cash in with a picture of a ticket? What's to stop someone from taking a picture of someone else's ticket and cashing it in before the rightful owner?

I guess I could see it if it's like a ticket they have on digital record that credits a specific account or something, but why would you even need the physical piece of paper then anyhow?

Honest question, I don't really know much about this stuff, I mostly just read the thread for the stories. It just doesn't seem like this would/should work to me. Maybe it's an "if you argue hard enough that they are sick of listening to you, you might get lucky and finally wear them down" with the picture as some sort of "proof" thing, is it just not going to happen, or is there more to it that I don't get?

They will let you cash a ticket usually, depending on the circumstances. If your players account was associated with the bet, they will do it automatically pretty much. In other cases, a good amount of time has elapsed before cashing in. Some of the Vegas casinos are implementing facial recognition tech so that you don't even have to give your players card.

I'm only looking at the Thursday games. Assuming every other dog loses I think I'll be down $3k.

I did shop for odds, found the best ones available for each game. Some substantial differences on the longer ones.

I noticed this too. I thought my FanDuel odds were worse, but Rivers definitely paid me out a lower percentage

What line did yinz have for Yale? I got +540 on Rivers. I'm still down 15$ on the day so I'm curious. I think I need to find a new book for the rest of the tournament.

edit: wins/odds today:

Yale +540
Northwestern +155
Clemson +112
Colorado -108
