In the first game, Haruka saw several people get gunned down, beat up, and blown up, including both her parents. So yeah, what happened to her in this game is no big deal. Still, they topped it from one perspective. How many young women in this day and age can say they had a guy storm a castle, take on a bunch of samurai and shinobi, man a Gatling gun, and then beat down two fierce tigers to rescue them from kidnapping? Even in video games, that is hard to beat. Too bad you’re not doing the PS2 substories. Some of them that were skipped for Kiwami are pretty good, IMO. Adam in particular is one of my favorites. Did you ever finish all the Majima Construction battles?

I tried doing some after I finished recording the story but I was not having fun playing Clan Creator. I also did attempt to record the Club Adam stuff but I got real tired of flipping back and forth between blocks of Kamurocho on PS2.

Thanks for showing this game off. You basically already said what I was gonna say during the credits: the Kiryu vs Ryoji story was interesting, the Jingweon Mafia stuff should've just been a side story and it really felt like the Omi stuff became an afterthought incredibly soon. And holy hell the ending sneaks up on you with a sudden big ol' plot dump and boss fight compilation.

Pretty sure I've said this before but the game really is a drama series because the ending act definitely is built like a season finale with plot twists stacked upon plot twists to the point of absurdity.
