After the scandal last year where the Galatasaray - Fenerbahce Super Cup final was aborted after the Saudis said no to the teams wearing Ataturk shirts during the warm-ups, in the second attempt at the final Fenerbahce started the game with their U19 squad, intending to come off the pitch after the first minute to protest recent referee decisions against them.
