Been pretty cold lately so I've been using the fireplace more in the new house. Creampuff has discovered the joy of sitting/plopping down in front of it and soaking in the heat. I need to go out and get a chair or something she can lounge on and properly bask in the warmth.

This is excellent.

I played cards and got drunk on Monday night and walked home over a bridge between the two lots where I live (in the middle east).

Then the following morning I walked the journey in reverse to collect my car, which I'd sensibly ditched. On the way I saw this single flower on a small tree/big shrub.

Those a lovely photos

I think the word for those is columbarium, they are a big thing in high population density areas

Just looks like such a lovely place, like the people who were loved are actually visable in a way that you can see

Just being able to see the urns, and that it is inside really has a different feel. It sounds dumb but I think it's really cool how the urns are on show, and how that reflects on the person and the family. A lovely ornate piece of pottery kinda holds a similar weight to an old coffee tin in that respect :)

Like I remember being in high school and a bunch of edgy kids hanging out in the cemetery and taking edgy photos. Somehow I feel they would be less inclined to do that in a columbarium

Exactly. The 'regular' cemetery is right next door. Lots of robber baron tombs and interesting statuary.

Ay! I got a growler full of stickee monkee 20th anniversary from a local bar for $5 bucks lmao.

Pandemic times call for pandemic measures. The beer thread would get a kick out of that. Mostly because we canceled firestone for donating to trumps campaign. Good beer tho
