My old job I was a dev manager for a forgotten mobile app that had tons of other system dependencies that no one worked on. The CEO would sell features to clients that were not even started , required those other systems to be updated including in-store systems, before we could even begin. And because the app was what the user used, it became my problem. And the VP would just be like "we have to act quick! Think outside the box". This was a 2 Billion a year company too 🙄
