I've dumped all my SPACs, rather than have them sit flat making no money, that money lives in SPY now earning me at least the annual rate of inflation. I can always buy back in if/when it finally starts to move

Someone outlined an interesting play on r/spacs. Because so many people are redeeming on merger these days, SPACs are winding up with really tiny floats. When that tiny float runs up against some number of shorts having to redeem, it creates a short squeeze. Just look at BLUW today for example. Closed at $10.45 yesterday and spiked to $29.50 on open. Of course, it's a risky trade because the bottom could also just fall out post-merger and the more people become aware of the trade, the less likely the squeeze is to happen. No way I would take the risk myself, but it's funny how piddling the SPAC cash grabs have become.

VLTA (formerly SNPR) is up to $12+ with highs of $13 and analyst price targets of $15. That and CVII are all I have left of my year-long SPAC adventure, but at least it's one in the green so I can call the whole SPAC game a success without actually running the numbers. I kid, but I am still well in the green both because of early successes last fall and that redemption floor.
