Last month I won with this photo of a tree / angel / bird. For the month of February the theme will be painterly. Have some inspiration. Saul Lieter Joshua K Jackson Hengki Lee RULES: This thread is for posting pics & voting. 1. One submission/poster. You can change your submission as many times as you want, so long as you only have one entry when the voting begins! Edit your post to do this, please. 2. Photos must be taken during the period of the contest. No pulling out old favourites! 4. Contest will be open until [at least] the last day of the month at 11:59 p.m. GMT after which voting will begin 5. Voting will continue until some time after that, probably the 2nd or 3rd. 6. I don't understand the prerequisites. I've never heard this term painterly before. Do you mean shots with lots of moisture to give off the feeling of a painting?

Not necessarily. I intended it to be interpreted loosely. Photographs that look like they could be paintings in some way. Often this is done by shooting through condensation or by having everything deliberately out of focus or by using slow shutter speeds and motion blur. A photo with an imperfect texture

I'm going to placeholder this one until I scan tonight. You'll know if my scans are good if this photo changes!

A painter probably would have made the colors more vibrant but I couldn't let myself touch the saturation slider.
