Oh my gosh yes, that’s so cute. I’m working on my next game, which is a hack on the hedgehog game but you’ll play a goblin trying to sell/scam Adventurers with random stuff he collects in a dungeon.

Wasn't Shawn Tomkin (of Ironsworn fame) supposed to be doing the solo rules chapter for this? Is it in the core book / is it good? It’s coming in another supplement still. Shawn’s wrapping up Starforged and then doing that I believe.

Those Book of Random Tables things are bland as all hell. Stars/Worlds Without Number and googling random tables will serve you much better honestly.

The Make A Connection move explicitly says no companions, yeah. The mechanics of bonds get a little wonky - I and a lot of other people in the discord server take it as building up a bond with a connection and eventually you can convert them to a Sidekick Companion if you want. It goes from one time bonuses to a constant bonus in a way. Shawn seems like he didn’t want Sidekick as an available starting Asset but relented at some point.

I haven’t yet made the ultraviolent flip side to it yet, where you play as SCUMFUCK the Barbarian: Cursed with immortality and just trying to find the right magical sword that will let him kill himself.
