As someone who is forced to listen to Rush, and the rest of Fox News Radio (Milwaukee), all day everyday via my chud coworkers: Rot in hell Rush, you vile monster. Unfortunately his death won't do anything to diminish the horrendous right wing media machine so there is no real reason to celebrate

I grew up being shuttled to and from school/practice/etc to a steady diet of rush on the radio of my parents car as well as Dr. Laura or whoever the gently caress they were. I was always confused as to why he was so angry.

I've had a stupid smile on my face pretty much all day. Part of that is that I got ridiculously high in celebration, but mostly because I just keep thinking about how that miserable fucker is dead and likely suffered at least a bit.

I've mentioned it before but my grandparents on my mom's side were die hard Democrats (her father was a construction worker for most of his life so he was extremely pro union). Every summer I'd spend a week at their house, and every time we went somewhere he'd listen to Rush in the car. He constantly yelled at Rush and shook his head and laughed, and he'd always tell me exactly how Rush was a lying piece of poo poo and what was actually going on. It's only in the past decade I've become really grateful for that, and wish I could have thanked him. I also wish he was still alive to celebrate Rush's death with me.

One thing I heard that I liked is that we shouldn't mourn his death, but instead mourn his life. He dedicated himself to hurting others. But perhaps the best eulogy was that Donald Trump reverted to pushing election fraud lies when speaking about Rush. Trump, the man who could least say something halfway gracious when Anthony Bourdain died, couldn't even say something about a man who defended him.
