That trim is looking great! Butyl tape is good stuff. I use it to bed the hardware on my sailboat. If you haven't already gotten a roll, I strongly recommend Bed-It brand... it's pricey, but it stays more solid than the RV/home depot grade butyl and was easier to work with. The cheap stuff was like working with chewing gum and squished out a lot more when it go hot.
