Hell yeah award season! To be honest I've been a bit disconnected from it this year. Nomadland has been a lock from the jump and the extended season hasn't helped. On the bright side it's given me more time to actually watch most of the films.

Agreed with Trial of the Chicago Seven being awful. The script and acting didn't engage me at all. But I just finished Mank to close out the 8/8 best picture nominees and that one is firmly last place. What a struggle.

That ending was so set up for Chadwick to win that it's almost disrespectful.  Nomadland winning best actress but not cinematography or screenplay is bizarre. I'm glad I didn't enter in a pool this year.
