it is absolutely worth getting an apartment where you can 1) have a fridge, and thus store food (health!) 2) have access to a kitchen, where you can prepare food (health!) 3) no longer be beholden to your boss for a place to live (esp. since everything you post about your boss makes staying with him seem like a terrible idea) 4) have a stable private place to live and keep stuff, while working on RyTruk (security!)
