Do you have a Hi-Lift? And somewhere either end reinforced enough to jack from? If you get bellied out in ruts, rather than using a winch or digging, you can lift each end one at a time until the wheels are totally clear of the ruts, then drop the car sideways so it lands outside the actual ruts. This also allows the Hi-Lift to engage in its favourite activity, attempting to clobber the operator.

Any weighbridge at a metal yard or similar should be able to get axle weights for you if you ask nicely.
