Is there a way to show what damage traps, minion weapons, and the like do? I'm unlocking more traps stalling at tier 3 but since they all do different types of damage and the amount they do isn't listed its hard to put them to good use.

Honestly I might end up just not using traps since setting up the casino to dupe all low level agents is pretty easy and super agents don't come in through the front door.

Other than some faults and balancing issues game is good. Most issues I've had revolve around poor UI on the world map and schemes bugging out. But can be resolved. I suspect that reviews complaining about schemes taking time to resolve were just sitting on single areas and waiting for the clock to tick over rather than spreading it around and unlocking the map first.

X and Symmetry teleport inside, everyone else goes through the front door.
Not that it matters, since Blue Saint and Wrecking Bola are super saboteurs and thus basically immune to traps, Atomic Olga is a super soldier and thus shoots the traps*, and the Steeles are Steeles and thus the best of the best.
Super agents will also basically ignore every distraction in the casino.

*I have no idea how she deals with traps, I always dealt with her at the end of the cover operation

At least for Wrecking Bola she came in through the helicopter entrance, which isn't awful to plan around I guess but putting a killbox in that limited space is hard when you only have two floors to work with until later research

I don’t get why you’d want to deceive agents anyways given how slowly the computer banks generate intel. I basically have to capture every agent to keep up with intel demands on the world stage.

You can just economy of scale the Intel computers, I have several running and rarely find myself out of intel.

It will as long as they are in a relatively small radius and not using an object or anything.

If you have a bunch of low-morale minions watching TV, executing someone there won't help them because they're busy with the TV but anyone still on the way will get the benefit.

Now that is some engrossing TV

That does explain why popping minions in the lunchroom wasn't having much of an effect, though.

How far into the story is it until I can finish off a super agent? Even just one off the board would be a godsend at this point

I've had this issue with a few things. For one I didn't realize you had to run several missions on one person to advance their chain, not just to generate cash. Then it takes an undetermined number of similar missions to succeed, so you just have to hammer away at it til it works. I'd much rather have it where you can have one of each type of side missions running at a time and have just a single really long one to take down an agent or recruit a henchman, because it's kind of annoying to have "okay now capture symmetry oh no she got away again lol"

Beat Max's campaign after 26 hours, the final mission was madness but I stocked enough money up that I could just keep throwing minions at it until everyone died. The halls literally had so many body bags in them that I had issues moving my henchmen around because they can't be commanded to move on a tile with a bag, apparently. Still, and appropriate ending.

Restarted on Doughnut Island and instantly loved the space, its magical.

It helps to bury traps in little nooks or indentations in the wall so that by time they’re anywhere near it to even try to disable it it’s already active. Freeze traps are great for this because then you can combo them into something else

Also if you are using it for just one trap then magnets tend to work better than fans.

Yeah most of the criticism several patches in is that their DLC scheme is like selling you a car without a second gear in it.

I just want a mod that makes it so that minions return after missions and it doesn't feel like an endless wave of meaningless ants running through your base. It's so bizarre that they put traits on minions when half the time you have people going out the door forever the second they finish their training because you need six biologists to run a heist.

Nah, spending your minions rather than assigning them out like EG1 was definitely the better move. Under EG1's system, way too much of your management was on the world map rather than in your actual base where all the cool stuff is.

That's the thing though, the minions having presence and weight is what gives the base management it's meaning. Otherwise it's just "oh, my worker is burned out because my base isn't optimized? Who cares, he is going on a little trip anyways. He deserted? Eh replacements are always flowing in rapidly"

Training and buffing minions is a hollow thing when they just get thrown right in the trash anyways

I'd take a Pyro henchman just to have more AOE against waves of agents. If a couple of minions get cooked too that is just the cause of doing business.

Is it still slow as gently caress like a mobile game with timers once you get into the later stages where you have to wait forever for the right objectives to pop on the world map and/or wait for heat to go away/be reduced by sending a pile of social minions to the reduction objective in time to drop it before it locks the region?

I’m tempted to do a second play through but that’s putting me off

Not sure about late game but at least in early/mid game it is a lot faster, and there's a lot more instances where you get high cost/high reward options. It's also easier to take down heat.

The classic slot machine maze is also extremely helpful once you get a sprawling base set up, since it takes baddies a while to work their way through it, allowing you to bring all your henchmen to the front after they wander all over your base.

Of course this does not apply to the good guys that come in through the side door.

How do you accidentally necro a 10 month dead thread

While we're here, did they ever fix traps for this game to make them more effective? Last time I played they were kind of pointless.
