Very optimistic for this. Even if it's just largely the first game with improvements it will be nice to see.

Generally it was just AI and bad design decisions holding the first game back.

Why the hell are the money activities 10k for 3 minutes and 20k for 30 minutes? Sure the second is slower income at less heat but the values just don't make much sense and 666 gold per minute is nothing. It feels like someone typo'd 10 minutes and most room items cost 10k+.

Low level research also takes too long considering how fickle science minions are.

Also as my friend found out, if you do the Eli mission make sure to actually deal with the "find the gun objective" or there will be timed events with negative effects on the world map that can give you big problems

I'm getting 100-200fps on a 3080 on Ultra but it's also hitting 80-90% GPU utilization with a not a particularly big base/number of minions which is kinda high considering I'm nowhere near the 200 minion sprawling bases you'd have in the last game.

It's very annoying that you have to pay attention to the heat cost of an event scheme vs your capacity, if you weren't paying attention you could send 6 scientists to an event, build up enough heat to lockdown and then they are all wasted. You can't run a scheme to lower the heat at that point.

FPS capping this to 60fps has reduced GPU usage from 90% to... 8%. Guess making all those extra frames is a lot of work!
